This website is just revised and updated one year after our clinic was renamed Somary Raffles Medical (International) Clinic (SRMC). Started in 1995 as Raffles Medical (International) Clinic and later provided cabinet level medical services as Somary Medical (International) Clinic, this clinic has been around and now transformed after more than 12 years in operation. We are glad to announce that we are now a full medical center/clinic licensed by the Cambodian authorities. In order not to confuse, although we are Singaporean-owned, we are not part of Raffles Medical Group.
Since moving to the present location at end of Year 2006, SRMC made strides in improving our services and clinic facilities. We now have x-ray on-site on top of the laboratory we always had from before. Many medical test results can be obtained speedily to enable quick diagnosis and treatment. More test and investigation equipment will be acquired in due course. Temporary warding facilities for day surgery, observation and recuperation are made available for much more patients.
We operate 7 days a week, including public holidays. Our panel of experienced doctors, comprising American, Japanese, Singaporean and Cambodians attend to and treat patients of all nationalities from walk-ins, business corporations, foreign embassies, NGOs, managed care contracts, travel insurance/assistance agencies, etc daily from 8:00am to 17:00pm. Our doctors also attend to house-calls at home, at hotel, factory sites, etc during daylight and night hours. Many satisfied patients have written in or sent appreciation cards to them and other clinic personnel for the good care in their recovery and returning them to good health.
The management, staffed by Cambodians, runs the clinic efficiently. They provide a friendly, nice and comfortable environment to all. Many visitors complimented SRMC for this plus the attentive, gracious and well-mannered counter and support staff at the clinic. The well-trained staff ensures that all cases are attended to speedily to alleviate the pains and/or suffering of patients.
At SRMC, we welcome our patients and guests with Cambodian hospitalities. Our friendly staff members are always on hand to assist and make you comfortable. Language is no barrier as we have staff and doctors that can communicate in English, Japanese and Chinese (including some common dialects like Hokkien, Teochew and Cantonese). Some of our local staff can also speak Vietnamese and Thai.
Besides international standard medical care, we also carry out medical evacuations to Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. We have tie ups with some insurance and assistance companies to provide cashless payment service for patients covered by them. For serious illnesses or injuries, we can provide referral to specialists in Singapore and at Bangkok and evacuate patients to top hospitals there for treatment and hospitalization. This extensive patient-care network and experience have been in place for more than 10 years.
